"Working in the SaaS industry feels like a good fit for me"

I'm Henna Skog and I work as a Growth Marketer and Marketing Automation Specialist in Liana's Growth and Marketing team. I have a bachelor's degree in Marketing and before joining Liana, I worked as a marketing specialist in the event industry.

I came across Liana when I noticed an open job position for a growth marketer in Oulu – at that time, I was already planning to move there. I was immediately excited when I saw the job posting because I actively used Liana's newsletter tool in my previous job. The familiar and pleasant tool increased my interest in the role, and working in the SaaS industry also felt like a good fit for me. I decided to apply, and long story short, I started working at Liana in 2021 as a growth marketer.

My role focuses on marketing effectiveness and collaboration between sales and marketing. My main goal is to bring high-quality leads to the Finnish sales team and report on related metrics. To acquire new leads, I run campaigns and automations that support the purchase and customer process. In addition to newsletters and automations, my work also involves paid advertising. Because my responsibilities included managing marketing automation accounts and consulting on automation-related matters since early on, in 2023, the title of "Marketing Automation Specialist" was added to my role as a growth marketer.

The best things about Liana are undoubtedly the people, the good benefits, the nice office, and the cozy atmosphere. One of the most memorable moments at Liana was when I met my entire team face-to-face for the first time. Since I started working during the pandemic, I had only seen my team members through a screen for the first few months. Our team went for the first ice cream of the spring to the market square in Oulu. We sat down with our ice creams and shared things about ourselves to get to know each other better.
